Hello Everyone!
As Summer is starting, and I am finally out of school, I am in the mood for a good Summertime read. I am going on a trip to Pennsylvania in about a week and I thought, “What better time than now to go to the library and pick up some fun books to binge read on the car ride?”. The car ride is about 12 hours long (I know. Long right?!) so I am going to have plenty of time for reading. And, for the first time in years, I don’t have any assigned reading, reading assignments or research papers! Hurray!

I went into my library specifically looking for a Morgan Matson book. The Unexpected Everything just came out, but I had also heard good things about all of her books. There was no way I could go wrong. However, everyone else in my area must have also been thinking about Morgan’s books because none of her books were on the shelves. I kid you not. Not a single one of her books was on the shelf and all of them had massive wait-lists on Overdrive. While I was a little bummed that I couldn’t get the book that I was looking for, I found some other great Summer books that had been on my TBR shelf for a while now.
Never Always Sometimes by Adi Alsaid was getting a decent amount of hype on Booktube when it first came out. The premise of two people who end up doing all the things they said that they would never do just sounds fun. And sitting next to this book was…
Let’s Get Lost by Adi Alsaid. Yep. How could I pass up a good road trip book?
Zac and Mia by A.J.Betts didn’t get a lot of hype but I am pretty sure that Christine from Polandbananasbooks mentioned it in one of her hauls. It sounded like just another book about two kids with Cancer but when I saw it on the shelf, I had to pick it up. I am just kind of in the mood for a cynical female lead, which is one of the many things that this book promises. This book led me to pick up…
Extraordinary Means by Robyn Schneider. Now, I will be the first to admit that two books starring sick teens that fall in love is a bit much to pick up in one haul. I typically like to save these or read them in between other things. However, I remember seeing this book and its cover (which I totally love. The font is rather pretty.) one day when I was passing through Barnes and Noble and it has decent reviews on Goodreads, so I thought, “Why not?”
I also got Angelfall by Susan EE (which I forgot to include in the picture) just in case I want something to break up all of these Contemporaries.
I still have ARCs from Netgalley to read and review, as well as The Invisible Library by Genevieve Cogman but I felt myself falling into a contemporary mood.
I will report back soon and tell you all what I thought :)
