Tabatha by Neil Gibson

Hello Everyone!

ARC Provided by Netgalley in exchange for an honest review

Overview (Non-Spoilery)

I was totally deceived by how light hearted this cover is! I am totally ok with that because Tabatha was absolutely creepy and amazing but it doesn’t match the light hearted, pink covered cover. This is basically the only qualm that I have about the book. I loved the art style. It was so rich and the characters were detailed with color. The backgrounds were detailed and textured and totally added to the creepy vibe. I love how the story came about, which you can read about in the back of the book. I also love all of the alternate covers, which are also in the back with the story. They are so creepy! I recommend this book for those who are looking for a chilling read with fabulous artwork and plot. It is also relatively short, which makes it a great read for a dark and stormy night.

More:

I love Luke as a main character. Not only was his artwork beautiful but he really added a lot. I also really liked his group of friends and their backstory. It made this really heartbreaking moment in the middle of a rather dark publication. The story isn’t even that dark it is more creepy. There might not seem to be a difference but there is. A dark work is just heavy. Tabatha doesn’t seem heavy, even though there is a lot of blood and gore closer to the end of the publication. It is easily something that people who get squeamish easily shouldn’t read, and neither should younger audiences, it just isn’t appropriate. However, if you are totally into graphic novels and are looking for something along the lines of gritty, gory, plot and character driven madness, than Tabatha is for you.

Overall:

90% out of 100%

4.5 out of 5
