Teen Titans: Blinded by the Light from DC Entertainment

Updated: Mar 14, 2020

Hello Everyone!

Overview (Non-Spoilery Section)

ARC provided through Netgalley and DC Comics in exchange for an honest review.

I have loved the Teen Titans since the original cartoon series on TV. This comic lived up to the Teen Titan characters and feel. The story flowed well and drew the reader in, including the inclusion of newer characters. Even for those who are not completely immersed in the Teen Titans universe, the stylistic reminders of who each character are during each section of the comic will allow them to enjoy the piece as well. Highly recommend for a fun read.

****Spoilers****

I was surprised when I saw new characters in this comic. I haven’t read a signficant amount of the comics but it took me a second to realize that Starfire and Cyborg were not in this, rather replaced by Wonder Girl and Bunker. These new characters weren’t difficult to like and blended well with the rest of the gang that I was already familiar with. I also really enjoyed Power Girl and her backstory, as well as seeing a diverse cast of characters. The storyline was fluid and easy to follow. The artwork was bright and reflected the personalities of the Titans very well. I couldn’t help but love the Bunker and Beastboy bromance that was going on. Overall, the entirety of this comic was really well done
